College Upgrades Cognos Reporting System

Last month the College signed a contract allowing it to upgrade the College’s¬†institutional reporting system to version 10 of IBM’s Cognos business intelligence and reporting software.

Currently used to produce desktop and web reports sourced by the College’s Jenzabar CX (CARS) administrative system, the new version of Cognos will allow improved reporting services in conjunction with the College’s upgrade to Jenzabar JX, scheduled to begin in January 2013.

A project team led by Chris Burch, Assistant Director of Web Application Services, and Clayton Hartley, Assistant Director of Institutional Reporting, will begin work on the upgrades next week.
